ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC – According to WCSC, a person lost their life and seven other people were injured in a collision at U.S. 301 and Shillings Bridge Rd Wednesday.
The driver of a Ford Econoline van was heading east when it strayed off the road and slammed into a tree around 6:20 a.m.
Rescue crews transported seven people to area hospitals in unknown conditions and pronounced one person dead at the scene of the accident.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
