JOHNS ISLAND, SC – According to WBTW, a man died in a plane crash on Abbapoola Creek near Legareville Rd Saturday.
Andrew Patterson was piloting a Piper PA-28 airplane when he crashed into Abbapoola Creek around 12:50 p.m. Crews recovered Patterson’s body from the scene of the accident around 5 p.m.
The incident is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA.
