HORRY COUNTY, SC – According to WBTW, one person died in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck at Hwy 9 and N Nichols Hwy Wednesday.
A Honda sedan driver was heading west on N Nichols Hwy when they collided with a northbound International semi-truck around 5:45 a.m. Both vehicles caught on fire following the collision.
Rescue crews pronounced the sedan driver dead at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the wreck.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
