SUMTER COUNTY, SC – According to WIS, one person died days after being involved in a two-vehicle collision at Myrtle Beach Hwy and SC 527 on April 15.

A Toyota driver was on southbound SC 527 when they collided with an eastbound Ford pickup truck around 11:35 a.m. The collision forced the Toyota driver off the road and into a stop sign.

Rescue crews transported three occupants from the Toyota and five occupants from the Ford to an area hospital. One of the Toyota passengers died days later.

Officials have not released the deceased victim’s name.
