HORRY COUNTY, SC – According to WBTW, a person died in a three-vehicle collision on US 501 near Willie James Rd Sunday.
A 30-year-old person was driving a Nissan SUV north on US 501 when they struck a Nissan sedan before straying into the southbound lanes and colliding head-on with a Doodge SUV driven by a 52-year-old person.
Rescue crews pronounced the Nissan SUV driver dead at the scene of the accident and transported the Dodge SUV driver to an area hospital. The Nissan sedan driver was not hurt in the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident with help from the Horry County Police Department.
