RED BANK, SC – A wrong-way driver fatally collided with another driver at S Lake Drive and Nazareth Rd Saturday, according to WLTX.

A 17-year-old male was driving a Ford sedan west on S Lake Dr when they strayed into oncoming traffic and struck a Dodge SUV head-on.

The 17-year-old driver died in the accident. Rescue crews transported the 17-year-old’s passenger and both occupants of the SUV to an area hospital. Neither the 17-year-old nor his passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
