LAURENS COUNTY, SC — At least one person was hurt Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 221 near north Laurens, according to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at the intersection with Vern Cora Road, past LowCountry Bar & Grill. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 3:15 p.m.
Few details have been disclosed at this time, but Troop 2 with the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
As of 4:00 p.m., 45 minutes after the initial report, officials remained on the scene.
At this time, the number of people injured and the severity of their condition have not been confirmed.
