COLLETON COUNTY, SC – Two drivers struck and killed a motorcyclist on SC 61 near Can City Rd Monday, according to WCSC.
A person was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle on southbound SC 61 when they strayed into oncoming traffic and hit a 2013 Chrysler sedan around 9 p.m.
The collision caused the motorcyclist to fall off the motorcycle onto the road, where they were hit by a second vehicle. The second vehicle fled the scene following the collision.
Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and transported the Chrysler driver to an area hospital.
Officials have not released the motorcyclist’s name.
