COLUMBIA, SC – According to WIS, two people were hurt when a suspected impaired probationary cadet collided with another vehicle at Broad River Rd and Foxglove Ln on Jan. 15.
Robert Garofalo, 43, allegedly crashed into an oncoming vehicle while drunk around 9 p.m.
Rescue crews extricated both drivers and transported them to area hospitals. The driver of the vehicle that was hit suffered a traumatic brain injury and other injuries.
Authorities arrested Garofalo once he was released from the hospital. He had a bond hearing on Jan. 26.
