YORK CO., SC – Four people died in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on I-77 early Sunday morning.

According to a report by WBTW, the crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. as one driver was heading south in the northbound lanes of the freeway, near the 80 mile marker.

The wrong-way driver, Rolesha Spears, slammed head-on into a northbound four-door sedan that was carrying three people

Spears was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Her front-seat passenger and all three occupants in the other vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

It is unclear whether Spears will face any charges at this time.
