SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC – A child was killed and another person was hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash in Spartanburg on Saturday afternoon, WSPA reports.

The crash happened near the Hampton Road intersection around 3:45 pm.

The incident occurred when a pickup truck collided with a sedan that was attempting to turn onto Little Mountain Road.

The driver of the sedan was injured and transported to an area hospital. A passenger in the sedan was identified as a 10-year-old child who was pronounced dead at the scene.
