NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC – The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a multi-vehicle pile-up that injured four people on I-26 near Whitmire Hwy Saturday, according to WLTX.

An SUV driver collided with a sedan driver as they were heading west on I-26. The collision sent both vehicles through the cable barrier and into the eastbound lanes, colliding with more cars around 4:55 p.m.

Rescue crews transported four people to area hospitals following the collisions. Three of the four people hospitalized were in critical condition.
