GREENWOOD COUNTY, SC – A driver allegedly hit a pedestrian with his car on purpose near Avid Rd and Sawgrass Pl Sunday, according to WSPA.

Police believe William Gray Ackerman, Jr., fought with Kenneth Davis McClendon before colliding with McClendon with his vehicle.

Rescue crews responded to the crime scene around 1:30. They transported McClendon to an area hospital, where he died.

Authorities located Ackerman and arrested him for murder.
