ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC – According to WIS, a driver died in a single-vehicle collision on I-26 Sunday.

The driver of a Chevrolet Cruze was heading west on I-26 when they strayed into the eastbound lanes of traffic before going off the road and slamming into a tree around 7:15 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
