CLEARWATER, SC – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian on US 1 near Cherokee Dr Saturday, according to WBTW.
A Toyota sedan driver was heading south on US 1 when they collided with the victim while crossing the road around 9 p.m. It is unclear if the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident or an area hospital.
Neither the driver nor the two passengers inside the Toyota were hurt in the incident.
The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
