SUMMERVILLE, SC – According to Live 5 News, a driver fatally collided with a pedestrian at Royle Rd and West Side St on October 5.
A Ford Escape driver hit William Jay Sarvis Sr., 78, as Sarvis Sr. was crossing the St around 9 p.m.
Rescue crews transported Sarvis Sr. to an area hospital, where he died.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
