COLUMBIA, SC – A driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on Shop Rd Thursday, according to WLTX.
A person driving a Toyota SUV was heading west on Shop Rd when they hit a person attempting to cross the street around 6 a.m.
It is unclear if the victim died at the scene of the accident or at an area hospital.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
