AWENDAW, SC – A driver fatally struck a pedestrian on Hwy 17 near Seewee Rd Thursday, according to WCIV.
The driver of a Chevrolet hit Lorenzo Mercer, 39, around 9:30 p.m. First responders transported Mercer to an area hospital, where he died the next day.
It is unclear if the driver will face any charges concerning the incident.
