BERKELEY COUNTY, SC – According to WCBD, a wrong-way driver fatally collided with another driver on I-26 near Ridgeville Tuesday.
A Hyundai SUV driver was heading east in the westbound lanes of traffic when they struck a Chrysler sedan head-on around midnight.
Rescue crews pronounced the Chrysler driver dead at the scene of the accident and transported their passenger and the driver and passenger in the Hyundai SUV to an area hospital.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
