FOLLY BEACH, SC – According to WCSC, lawyers for the woman who allegedly struck and killed Samantha Miller on the 1200 block of E Ashley Ave on April 28 filed a motion for bond on May 19.

Jamie Komoroski, 25, was allegedly impaired when she collided with a golf cart carrying Miller, her newlywed husband Aric Hutchinson, and two other people around 10 p.m.

Emergency crews pronounced Miller dead at the scene and transported the other three occupants to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities arrested Komoroski and charged her with DUI causing bodily injury or death. A blood sample showed her blood alcohol to be .261, three times the legal limit.

Komoroski’s lawyers say she is not a flight risk and will enter rehab if released on bond.
