FLORENCE, SC – According to WBTW, a motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle collision at Palmetto St and Bentree Ln Saturday.
Joshua Kingston, 26, was riding a motorcycle at excessive speeds on westbound Palmetto St when he hit a Ford sedan turning left onto Bentree Ln around 7:20 p.m. Both Kingston and the Ford driver ran the red light at the intersection.
First responders pronounced Kingston dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities cited the Ford driver for disregarding a traffic control device.
The incident is under investigation by the Florence Police Department.
