RICHLAND CO., SC – A motorcyclist died last night following a three-vehicle crash involving a hit-and-run driver in Richland County.
According to WLTX, the crash occurred as a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and a Harley Davidson were heading west on Clemson Road around 8:10 p.m.
Investigators say the motorcyclist collided with the Jeep and was ejected into the left lane of the roadway, where they were struck by a 2001 Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda did not stop.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.
The driver of the Honda, 62-year-old Yvette Gonzalez was located and arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.Â
