COLLETON COUNTY, SC – Three people lost their lives following a multi-vehicle collision on I-95 Sunday, according to WCBD.

The crash involved five cars and a bus. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Two of the vehicles ignited and became engulfed in flames.

Three people, a male, a female, and a teenager, were trapped in one of the vehicles that caught on fire. They died at the scene of the accident.

First responders transported six people by ambulance and one person by airlift to area hospitals in unknown conditions.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
