NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – A North Charleston police officer is being charged in connection with a fatal crash at Dorchester Rd and Scarsdale Ave on July 5, according to Live 5 News.
Jeremy Kraft was driving a Dodge Charger on eastbound Dorchester Rd at 88 mph when he collided with a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Raudnesia Waring, 24, near Scarsdale Ave around 5:05 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Waring dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities have charged Kraft with driving too fast for conditions.
Kraft has been placed on administrative leave and still works for the North Charleston Police Department.
