HORRY CO., SC – A pedestrian was sent to the hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Carolina Forest area on Monday morning.

According to WMBF, the crash took place near the intersection of River Oaks Drive and Red River Court at about 7:45 a.m.

The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The driver involved fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests have been made as of this writing.
