GARDEN CITY, SC – An alleged impaired motorcyclist fatally struck the rear of another motorcycle at Woodland Dr and Hwy 17 BUS on Sept. 25, according to WFXB.

Michael Edwards, 49, was riding a motorcycle on northbound Hwy 17 Bus when he rear-ended another motorcycle around 9:40 p.m. Edwards, his passenger, and both occupants of the other motorcycle were ejected from the vehicles.

Rescue crews transported Autumn Viar, 36, to an area hospital, where she died. Viar was not wearing a helmet during the accident.

Authorities arrested Edwards and charged him with felony DUI resulting in death.
