ANDERSON COUNTY, SC – According to WBTW, a 16-year-old boy died in a single-vehicle collision near Murphy Rd Sunday.
A Honda driver strayed off the left side of the road and slammed into a tree around 6 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the 16-year-old, the front-seat passenger in the Honday, dead at the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.
