SUMMERVILLE, SC – According to WCSC, two people died in a wrong-way collision at US 17A and Gumville Rd on November 18.
A Ford pickup truck driver was heading south on Gumville Rd when they struck a Toyota pickup truck driver heading north around 4:15 p.m.
The two occupants of the Toyota died in the collision. Rescue crews transported the Ford pickup truck driver to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Officials have not identified the victims.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
