SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC – According to WBTW, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal van collision on I-26 that claimed the lives of two people Sunday.
The driver of a Dodge van was on westbound I-26 when they strayed off the road and collided with a guard rail before returning to the road and overturning around 2:40 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the van’s 11 passengers to an area hospital, where two died.
Officials have not released the names of the deceased victims.
