MARLBORO COUNTY, SC – One person died and four others were injured in a two-vehicle collision at Salem Rd and Coxe Rd West Monday.
According to the Herald Advocate, the driver of a Toyota sedan was driving south on Salem Rd when it collided with a GMC SUV that was heading west on Coxe Rd.
First responders were called to the scene around 6:50 p.m. They pronounced the driver of the Toyota dead at the scene. They also transported all four occupants of the SUV to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
