DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC – One person was killed and two others were injured in a car accident in Dorchester County on Thursday afternoon, WCSC reports.

According to officials from the Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Mallard Road around 4pm on Thursday, November 18.
A Buick and Dodge Charger were traveling west on the road, when the Buick attempted to pass the Charger, but instead struck it and sent both vehicles off the road.
The driver of the Buick was killed and a passenger was transported to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The driver of the Charger was also taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
