HOLLYWOOD, SC – Authorities arrested a man for leaving the scene of an accident after he collided with multiple vehicles on the Savannah Hwy near Waldon Rd Saturday, according to WCSC.
Newell Bruorton, 77, was driving the wrong way on Savannah Hwy when he collided with five other vehicles at 7:51 p.m. Bruorton then allegedly fled the scene.
Rescue crews transported Bruorton to an area hospital with minor injuries. Charleston police then arrested Bruorton and charged him with hit-and-run with minor personal injury, hit-and-run property damage, and driving under suspension, second offense.
