ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC – According to WCIV, two people lost their lives in a two-car collision at SC-33 and US-178 Friday.
The crash happened when a state trooper tried to pull over a speeding car. The driver refused to pull over and sped off, colliding with another vehicle in the process.
Zeleria Simpson and Shemyia Riley died in the incident. Three others were injured. It is unclear which vehicles the victims were in at the time of the collision.
The incident is under investigation by both SCHP andthe Lexington County Sheriff’s Office.
