SUMMERVILLE, SC – According to WCBD, two people died in a two-vehicle collision on I-26 Sunday.
The driver of a Mazda was heading west in the eastbound lanes of I-26 when they collided head-on with the driver of a Nissan pickup truck around 4:45 a.m.
Both drivers, Sharmayna Smalls, 26, and Timothy Parker, 20, were the only occupants of their vehicle. It is unclear which driver drove which car.
Rescue crews pronounced Smalls dead at the scene of the accident and transported Parker to an area hospital, where he died.
