SURFSIDE BEACH, SC – According to ABC News 4, a person died and three others were injured following a two-motorcycle collision on Hwy 17 BUS two miles south of Surfside Beach Sunday.
The two motorcyclists were on northbound Hwy 17 BUS when one motorcyclist rear-ended the other one. The impact caused both motorcyclists and their passengers to be ejected from the motorcycles.
Rescue crews pronounced one person dead at the scene of the accident and transported the other three victims to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the wreck.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
