CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC — A crash early Thursday blocked an Interstate 26 exit ramp near Charleston Southern University in North Charleston, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the Exit 205 ramp from I-26 southbound to University Boulevard, or U.S. Highway 78. It was first reported shortly after 12:06 a.m.

Officials have not released further details at this time, but the offramp remained closed for more than an hour.
By 1:24 a.m., the scene had cleared and the ramp was reopened to normal traffic.
