IRMO, SC – First responders were called to the scene after a tree fell on top of a moving vehicle in Irmo on Thursday afternoon.

According to WLTX, a woman was driving along Piney Grove Road, between US-76 and St. Andrews Road, at about 3:45 p.m. when a pine tree snapped in the high winds and fell on her vehicle.

The woman’s car continued down the road before coming to a stop against another tree in a nearby yard. She was extricated by firefighters with the Irmo Fire Department and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
