GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC – A driver fatally collided with a woman on US 521 near Redick Rd Sunday, according to WPDE.
The driver hit Wanda Michelle Chavis, 35, as she was walking on the street around 10:45 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Chavis dead at the scene of the accident.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
